She has taken on challenging roles in many independent films, including recent dramas The Trail Ends Here and Trinitas (now on Amazon Prime). A versatile talent, she’s equally at home guarding dark secrets in tense thrillers, goofing around in comedy sketches, and representing local and national brands in commercial projects. 

Nicky’s original play, My (Virtually) Perfect Roommate, is now available from Next Stage Press. Her latest works—the short screenplay Overstay, and the stage play The Dames of Rhode Island—are currently in pre-production.​

Nicky lives in the Boston area with her husband and three children. Though her kids are grown, they still suffer for Mommy’s art in many ways, including forced participation in the highly anticipated, cinematic series of Lowney Family Christmas cards.
